A cource of lectures on Researcher's view of the CLLD
Ministry of Agriculture with Estonian Rural Network Unit have started the series of lectures: "Researcher's view of the Community Led Local Development". We have reached to the 4th lecture and we are willing to invite also our colleagues to participate the lecture with the title: "Rural Development in a Global Countryside" by professor Michael Woods (UK/Wales).

Venue: Conference hall of Ministry of Rural Affairs, Lai St 41, Tallinn, ESTONIA (in old town)
This lecture will examine the challenges and opportunities for rural development resulting from globalization, and discuss how initiatives such as LEADER can help rural communities to define their own future in an increasingly global countryside.
Prof Michael Woods is Professor of Human Geography and Professor of Transformative Social Science at Aberystwyth University in Wales. He is the editor of the Journal of Rural Studies and is author of several books, including "Rural Geography" (Sage, 2005), "Contesting Rurality" (Ashgate, 2005), and "Rural" (Routledge, 2010). His research ranges across questions of rural change, politics and governance.
The lecture is free of charge. After the lecture we invite our foreign guests to a dinner with Professor Woods. Travel and accommodation you will need to organise by yourself.
