Friendly Village competition
“Friendly village” is an annual competition organized within the framework of the Polish National Rural Network. Aim of the contest is to find the best project co-financed with European funds, supporting development of infrastructure in rural areas. During this year's edition the competition was divided in two categories technical infrastructure and social infrastructure and two stages: first - regional and second - nationwide.
To participate in the Friendly Village, organization had to have competion of project (ie approval of the final report) before the deadline for submission of application forms for the first stage of the competition.
In this year the central stage of the competition has qualified 29 projects: 15 in the social infrastructure category and 14 in the technical infrastructure category. Results were announced during a conference entitled: Support for development of infrastructure in rural areas in the new programming period 2014-2020, which was held in Warsaw on Dec. 13th 2013.
The conference has addressed issues relating to the role of social and technical infrastructure in rural development and general infrastructural priorities such as communication and education.
