Winners in the competition for the best TNC Nordic-baltic Leader project
On 27th of September participants of The Nordic-Baltic Leader Cooperation Award in Tallinn – the capital of Estonia - the best transnational Rural Development Plan LEADER cooperation projects of Nordic-Baltic countries were announced in five categories: youth, tourism, culture, local area, and local resources and environment.
The winners were chosed in five categories and presented as follows:
- The best Youth project is a Finnish and Austrian cooperation project „Wind for Youth“ - read
- The best Tourism project is implemented between nine countries Finland, Hungary, Scotland, France, England and Portugal) and is titled as „Nature Tourism Project“ - read
- The best Culture project is developed between Estonia, Finland, Latvia, France and Portugal – „Medieval Festivals" - read
- The best local area development project is between Sweden and Poland – „Cross-border Entrepreneurs Blekinge/Warmia-Mazury“ - read
- The best Local Resources and Environment project is developed between France, England and Estonia – it is called „Growing Gastronauts - read
In addition to these categories the competition searched for the favourite project of people – the most popular project was a project implented between Finland, Estonia and Latvia – “Handicraft”.
The special prize of Estonian Rural Netwpork – the iron Leader-tree – goes to a true Baltic project, implented between Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania – it is called “Youth for Youth”.
The first Nordic-Baltic LEADER transnational cooperation projects award was organized by Estonia – Rural Economy Research Centre Rural Network bureau.
