Polish finalists of The Nordic-Baltic Leader Cooperation Award
According to the first selection of finalist for the best Nordic -Baltic transnational cooperation projects, we are pleased to announce that the list of finalists included two projects involving Polish Local Action Groups. In the category Local Development, Polish-Swedish cooperation project entitled Cross-border Entrepreneurship Blekinge / Warmia – Masuria and in category Tourism for a project entitled Re-creation of the landscape carried out by Tielt Leader, Westhoek Leader from Belgium and Bialskopodlaska LAG from Poland.
Cross –border entrepreneurship project Blekinge Leader / Warmia – Masuria is carried out in a tripartite partnership by two Polish LAGs: Warminski Zakątek and Brama Mazurskiej Krainy and on LAG Leader Blekinge from Sweden. The aim of the project was a two-year cooperation, which consist of an active exchange of experiences, the desired effects was to build a competitive advantage in the region`s tourism industry and mutual implementation of best practices for rural development by public institutions, social organizations and business to integrate local communities and the formation of networks in the form of consortia, high efficiency measures for the tourism promotion.
The essence of the project Re-creation of the landscape was to elaborate new, comprehensive system for labeling the entire cycle route in the administrative region. The project was carried out in th framework of the international cooperation project called TEAM. The project has involved two LAGs from Belgium: Tielt Leader, Westhoek Leader and one from Poland: Bialskopodlaska LAG.
