Summer 2nd Spartakiad of the Polish National Rural Network
Summer Spartakiad is a cross linking project organized for the second time. It was attended players from Local Action Groups and partners from the Polish NRN. This year, event held in Jarocin province Wielkopolska, on 6 – 8th September 2012, was in fact inclusive - it involved representatives of the regional secretariats, central secretariat and partners of the National Rural Network such as the Rural Youth Union, LAG Common Route, LAG Good Widawa, LAG Solidarity Partnership. There were good organized team competitions such as football, volleyball, water polo, basketball, track &field Team, 4x 100 meters relay athletics and the individual disciplines such as: cross – country running, 100 meters sprint, table tennis. All of sport competitions, triggered a lot of emotions.
Spartakiad allowed not only to play together, forge new relationships and connections within the network, but also to exchange experiences. Summer 2nd Spartakiad of the National Rural Network was held along with Forum of good sport practices in rural areas implemented under the RDP 2007 – 2013. Representatives participating in the regional secretariats Spartakiad discussed completed sport related projects in detail. Participants focused on projects that stimulate the activity of the inhabitants, activate the local community by organizing hiking, for example the trail hike extinct volcanoes. In Wielkopolska is also implemented GPS Wielkopolska innovative project, which is a perfect example of skillful use of modern technology in tourism.
Moreover, Spartakiad accompanying exhibition and the forum was an opportunity to showcase sports-related projects. Based on materials submitted by the secretariats, prepared and presented information posters of 18 projects founded from a variety of sources. In summary Spartakiad 2012 was great opportunity not only to sports competition but also the exchange of experiences with partners in the Polish National Rural Network.
