The II edition of EUROFARM Competition was finished.
In December 18, 2010 – official announcement of results and ceremonial summary of the II part EUROFARM competition took place in the Ministry of Village Development and Agriculture in Warsaw.
Owners and designers of prize-wining and nominee objects were given statuettes, commemorative medals, diploma, financial cheques by the Minister of Village development and Agriculture doctor Marek Sawicki, the chairman of EUROFARM Chapter chairman professor doctor eng. Andrzej Myczko and the Viessmann director Sebastian Walerysiak.
To the ceremony in Warsaw, apart from the laureates and their family members , also came the representatives of agricultural counseling centers, local authorities and marshal departments, on the action areas, on which nominated and rewarded objects are localized.
In the ceremony, the members of Competition Chapter took part the representatives of Viessmann company, which is a general sponsor of EUROFARM, media supporters; press, radio and television journalists.
Professor Tomasz Borecki, president’s adviser of agriculture and village, undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Agriculture and Village Development Marian Zalewski and Zbigniew Banaszkiewicz, deputy manager of Agency Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture.
All rewarded objects in the competition are signed with the information boards with EUROFARM logo and “The Competition Laureate” notice.
The organizer of EUROFARM, Jacek Fąfara - portal BudoRol.pl editor-in-chief, informed the participants of final gala about the course of its second edition and functioning of Chapter. He said that the competition object is to popularize so called good practices in rural building industry, and creating the map of model farm objects, which scattered on whole Poland – are inspiration and patterns to be followed by farmers undertaking construction investments.
Prize-winners ensured that they willingly show the prized objects to visitors and share their experience from building and exploitation period.
Professor Andrzej Myczko, the EUROFARM Chapter’s chairman, thanked everyone for their contribution put into the organization of the contest, underlining in this area the role of agricultural counseling centers, agricultural administration, agricultural organizations, the media, sponsors and other Competition partners. He invited to participating in the following III edition OF EUROFARM Competition in the next year. He also said that the Chapter is thinking over such a Competition regulations that would enable the estimation not only single buildings but also whole agricultural farms.
Most of the nominee objects were build with the financial sources share coming from PROW 2007-2013 or preference credits with ARiMR extra charge.
The II edition of Competition took the whole year 2010.
EUROFARM Chapter nominated 11 objects coming from the whole Poland in four competitive categories. After familiarizing with the detailed documentation nominated object, which was done in the area, the Chapter decided that the prizes of 10 000 zloty in four competitive categories will be given to the owners and designers of the following objects:
• In the "Inventory buildings" category
The cowshed of 80 cows in the Osobne village in Śniadowo parish, podlaskie province
The prize “For the modern barn building with the use of local materials”

• In the “Living houses” category

The final EUROFARM gala was the occasion of representing of modern technical solutions connected with the construction and biogas equipment. Wojciech Barczak the representative of Viessmann company, which is laureate of the Minister of Agriculture and Village Development prize for popularizing of technology on rural areas enabling for energy saving. Biogases, which are built and equipped in the world by Viessmann are other specialization of this company allowing for the effective exploitation of renewable energy sources.
