5th Working Group session
On 25-26 November the 5th session of Polish NRN Working Group was held in the Agricultural Advisory Centre – regional unit in Radom. It was the occasion to show activities of Agricultural Advisory Centre to all participants.
Members of the session visited experimental ecological homestead and the practical training centre showing the way of organizing vegetable processing industry on a small scale.

The Agricultural Advisory Centr elaborated three technological lines:
- Cereal processing line.
- Fruit and vegetable juice pressing line.
- Meat processing line.
Lines installed in bigger homesteads or by agricultural producer groups can significantly improve profitability of agricultural production and be the source of additional profit.
The meeting of Working Group was open and chaired by the deputy-chairman of Working Group, the Director of Rural Areas Development Department – Michał Marciniak .
This time, honoured guests of the session were representatives of Slovakian National Network for Rural Areas together with the network manageress Malvina Gondova.
On the first day of the conference were shown:
- Experiences from the activity of Slovakian National Network for Rural Areas
- Information on the state of Polish NRN Action Plan for the years 2010-2011
- Activity of thematic groups working next to the European Network for Rural Areas and their influence on creating of the Common Rural Politics after the year 2013
- Information on NRN activity for the benefit of Local Activity Groups
- Information on the Regional Rural Network functioning in the warmińsko-mazurskie

The Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Artur Ławniczak, in his speech , in the first day summary of the debate he emphasized the importance of NRN activity for the spread of good practice and information on the best executed projects.
He pointed the necessity of all initiatives development, which can influence on the increase of agricultural effectiveness. Especially on the need of agro-tourism and food processing industry in small homesteads.

On the second day of the session of NRN Working Group were introduced:
- Proposal of cross-linking projects introduction into the NRNs Activity Plan
- Information on directions of financial support of local governments in rural areas in the new programming period.
The Working Group gave positive opinion on the cross-linking projects implementation and it passed suitable resolution in this case.
In connection with the declaration, during the Regional Secretariats Rural Network session, of new needs of changes in Rural Network Action Plan for the years 2010-2011, the Rural Network Working Group decided that the resolution in case of the project change of NRN Action Plan for the years 2010-2011 will be accepted in the circulating procedure.
At the end of the session, the need of international cooperation in the framework of NRN was stressed, particularly among the neighbouring countries.
That is why the special acknowledgements for the session participation were passed to Slovakian guests.
